That's a shame - I can't wait to see what she'll look like!
If they can get her to look as realistic as the one in HP4 did, what with her being blue and all, then I'll be happy.

Oh, I don't know then - I don't know the individual people, just the name of the studios ^^'
Hopefully it'll be good though! CP will get an earful from me if it's rubbish. I would NEVER let a book I wrote be turned into a film that didn't meet the standards I'd written it to (like Harry Potter). Maybe I'm just picky though.

Yeah, the lotr trilogy is my favourite film(s)!!! If Eragon is half as good as the lotr ones were, then it'll be worth seeing

Yes, but any less and CP will be getting angry letters from muah. Well, it wouldn't be his fault if it sucked but still....

It would be his fault! Well, not entirely, but... Surely he gets some say in who's cast, or at least gets an input into what teh characters shoudl look like, or ages, or something?!
I'm really not sure about Joss Stone as Angela. I'll bet CP's sister is pleased though!

Nope, he handed over the rights. They can do whatever they want. Though, his condition was that he play a guy that gets beheaded in the battle at Farthen Dur.

Hm... I'm not sure that would be my only condition! Althoguh it would be pretty cool to be in a movie!
But I'd still want to be sure everything was how I imagined it... maybe I'd give them some sketches or soemthing, just so they'd have more of an idea? I don't know. I guess I'd just feel uncomfortable leaving something I'd worked hard on in someone else's hands, capable though they may be.

Well, the only problem is, not everything is how he wante dit in the book either. Editors change a lot of things to make the book "better".

Yeah... I read the interview/chat he had with Philip Pullman and Tamora Pierce, and I remember him saying that having his book edited was the hardest thing he'd ever had to do.
But his characters probably wouldn't change all that much, personality- and looks-wise. I don't know all that much about editing, but I'd always assumed it was just patching up the quality of your writing..? I'm not sure.

I have someone "editing" my book, if thats what you want to call it. She has a mojor in English, so she offered to help me out. I'm only a third of teh way done with the book, but its coming along. So she's editing it, and then she'll help me get a publisher. Hopfuly they don't ask me to get it edited by one of the people that work for them or anything, that would be so.... annoying.

I'm busy self-editing my book, if that makes any sense! I've sort of finished it, but I'm going over it again, plus I guess I should get someone ele to look over it.
So editors can tell you to change whole bits about your book? O.O that's not good!

Yeah, that's the editors job, Lol. I ''edit'' my friend's manga books all the time. Sometimes, I actually take a pencil to the completed thing because of a spelling mistake or something.
